Heritage conservation, regeneration and redevelopment of an historic hotel in Wagin

The heritage-listed pub – consisting of a 2-storey stone and brick building with wrap-around verandahs – has occupied a prominent position in the social life of the town since it was built in 1900.

It was owned and run by the Moran family until 2017, when it closed. Now, Whitehaus are assessing the viability of a regenerative design to provide tourism and amenity in the town centre.

The project aims to connect with other recent tourism ventures in the Wheatbelt-Great Southern areas, to promote the local industry, infrastructure and activity.
